College & Career Preparation
Academic preparation at Alpha Prep looks beyond graduation day, with a track record of connecting students to early college-level experience through BTVI dual enrollment.
BTVI Dual Enrollment
Alpha Preparatory Academy has participated in dual enrollment with the Bahamas Technical and Vocational Institute (BTVI), giving students the chance to take college-level courses while still completing high school.
Since Fall 2023, this has included Alpha students enrolled in BTVI courses such as Business Law, Public Speaking, and Basic QuickBooks, earning college credit and building workplace skills ahead of graduation.
Alpha Prep's leadership has publicly credited the partnership with BTVI's business trades faculty for giving students both college credit and critical workplace skills.
Participation in dual enrollment is subject to BTVI's own eligibility requirements and course availability each term. It is a demonstrated opportunity at Alpha, not a guarantee for every student.
